1. What these terms cover
Cursway is a website at cursway.com for planning travel: a map and a globe you explore, search results gathered from other companies, and an AI chat to think out loud with.
These terms are the agreement between you and the operator of Cursway. They apply whenever you use the site, with or without an account. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Cursway.
2. Who operates Cursway
Cursway is operated by Yury Ivashka, an individual based in Poland. There is no company behind it: the project is not incorporated as a legal entity, and one person is responsible for it and for the personal data it handles.
Address for legal matters:
Tadeusza Krępowieckiego 11
01-456 Warszawa
Polska
For questions about your personal data, write to legal@cursway.com.
3. Who may use Cursway
By using Cursway you confirm that you are at least 16 years old.
We do not ask for your date of birth and we have no way of checking your age, so this is something you tell us rather than something we verify. If you are a parent and your child has created an account, the Privacy Policy explains how to have it and its data removed.
4. Accounts
Most of Cursway works without an account. The map, search and the chat are open to anyone.
If you want an account, you sign in with a link and a short code we email you, or with your Google or GitHub account. There is no password to choose and none to lose. That also means anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, so the security of your account is the security of your inbox.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else is using it, write to us at support@cursway.com — there is no button for this, so the address is the way.
5. Closing your account
You can delete your account yourself, from your profile page. We email you a code first, to be sure it is you asking.
Access closes straight away. After that there is a window during which you can change your mind and keep the account — its length is shown on your profile when you start, so that one number lives in one place.
When the window ends, the account goes and cannot be brought back. The trail it left goes with it, and the records we keep for other reasons lose you rather than disappear: a security log keeps the event and the time but not who it was, and a message you sent us keeps its text but not your name or your address, because someone may still be answering it.
6. When we may limit or close access
We may limit, suspend or close your access to Cursway if:
- you break these terms;
- you collect data from the site automatically or in bulk;
- you work around usage limits, anti-bot checks or the sign-in process, or try to;
- what you are doing damages the service, our partners or other people using it;
- the law requires it.
Where the reason is abuse or a legal requirement we may act without telling you first. This is a right we reserve, not a routine we run.
If you think we have got it wrong, write to us — section 24 says where.
7. Usage limits
Some parts of Cursway are limited by how often you can use them — the AI chat and flight search above all. Both cost us money on every real request, and without a ceiling a single script could spend it all and leave the service unusable for everyone else.
Limits are counted against your account when you are signed in, and against your network connection when you are not. Signed-in allowances are larger.
The figures are not printed here on purpose: they change as the service changes, and a number written into a document like this goes stale the moment the code moves. When you reach a limit the interface says so and tells you when it lifts.
8. What Cursway does not do
We are not a travel agent and not a tour operator. We do not sell flights, rooms, transfers, tours, tickets or insurance.
We take no bookings and no payments. We never hold your money, we cannot issue a refund, and we cannot change or cancel anything you have booked.
When you decide to buy, you leave Cursway and buy from another company. The contract is between you and that company, on their terms. Anything that follows from it — confirmation, changes, cancellation, refunds, the quality of what you actually got — is between you and them, and their support is the right place to take it.
9. Where booking actually happens
Every button that leads to a purchase takes you off Cursway to someone else’s site.
Those destinations are not all the same kind of thing. Some are partners of ours in the sense of section 10 — if you buy, we are paid a commission. Others are not: the flight card also offers well-known flight aggregators, and for a nonstop flight on a single airline, that airline’s own home page. We earn nothing from those. They are there because they are useful to compare against, not because anyone pays for the place.
Our partners are described by role rather than as a fixed list:
- flights — online travel agencies and flight search services;
- accommodation — hotel booking sites and price-comparison services, reached directly or through an intermediary that picks one for the property you are looking at;
- ground transport — carriers, transfer services and transport booking sites;
- activities, attraction tickets and tours — activity marketplaces;
- the rest of what a trip needs — car hire, eSIM data, travel insurance, luggage storage and similar services.
The set changes, which is why it is described this way. The links themselves are built ahead of your click, not at the moment of it: the flight links are put together when the search runs, and the accommodation button when the card is drawn, out of whatever we had at that moment. Where an intermediary sits in the middle, the choice of which seller you finally see is made on their side, after you leave us.
The company that supplies a piece of data is often not the company that takes the booking: a room rate you see may come from one provider while the booking button beside it goes to another.
10. Affiliate links
Many of the links that take you to a partner are affiliate links. If you book through one, the seller pays us a commission. That is how Cursway is paid for — there is nothing else.
It costs you nothing extra. You pay the seller’s own price, the same price you would pay arriving there any other way.
11. Prices, availability and other data
Almost everything Cursway shows you comes from somewhere else: fares, room rates, timetables, ratings, photographs, opening hours, weather. We collect it, store it for a while and arrange it on a map.
Stored means old. What you see may be minutes old, may be hours old, and in places may be older still. A price on Cursway is a snapshot of something a third party published at some earlier moment. It is not a quote, not an offer, and not a promise that anything is still available. It may have changed, it may not exist for your dates or the size of your party, and it may not include taxes, baggage or other charges the seller adds later.
Where the interface marks something as an estimate or as a “from” price, take it exactly at that word. The only price that counts is the one the seller shows you at the moment you pay, and the only availability that counts is the one they confirm.
The same goes for everything else: visa notes, weather, beach and air-quality figures, opening hours, and what the map says about a place. Use it to decide where to look. Check it with the authority, the carrier or the venue before you rely on it.
12. When you see nothing
An empty map, an empty list or a missing price means we have nothing to show you at that moment. It does not mean there are no flights, no rooms, and nothing to do there.
Our coverage is built up place by place and is uneven: there are areas we have not filled in yet, and there are moments when a provider does not answer. The home map is also empty by design until you set a departure point — nothing is broken, it simply has no direction to work from.
13. The AI chat
The chat is someone to think with, not a search engine. It has no access to our search tools and looks nothing up while it is talking to you — it answers from what the model already knows.
It can be wrong. It can be out of date, it can be confidently mistaken, and it can invent a detail that sounds right. Nothing it says is professional advice — not legal, medical, financial, immigration or safety advice — and no decision that matters should rest on it alone. Prices, flight numbers and hotel names it mentions in passing are not search results.
To answer you we send your message, the recent part of the conversation and a short line of trip context — departure city, dates, destination, currency — to an external AI provider, which processes it under its own terms. The AI provider is not given your name or your email address; where it requires an identifier for abuse prevention, we send a hash and never the value behind it. That is about the chat alone — what leaves Cursway elsewhere, and to whom, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
The conversation itself lives only in your browser; we keep no copy of it on our servers. We cannot restore it.
14. Your content
What you write stays yours. We claim no licence over it and no right to reuse it.
We do not keep your chat conversations, so there is nothing there for us to use, and we do not use them to train any model of our own.
Something you send us deliberately — a message through the contact form, for instance — we use to answer you.
15. Our content and third-party material
The site itself is ours: its text, its design, the Cursway name and mark, and the way our editorial selections are put together. Please do not copy it wholesale or present it as your own.
A great deal of what you see is not ours to give away. Photographs come from photo libraries and from Wikimedia contributors and remain with their authors, under their own licences. Company logos belong to those companies. Map data and imagery come from the projects that made them. Hotel, flight and activity content belongs to the providers that supply it.
None of it becomes ours by appearing here, and none of it becomes yours. If you want to reuse something you saw on Cursway, the permission is the rightsholder’s to give and not ours, and in most cases their terms do not allow it.
16. Links to other sites
Cursway links outward constantly — to sellers, to carriers, to reference sources. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site, under their terms and their privacy policy, and what happens there is between you and them.
We do not control what those sites show, what they charge or whether they deliver it, and we are not responsible for their content. If you find a link that is broken, wrong or misleading, please tell us — see below.
17. Acceptable use
When using Cursway, please do not:
- collect data from it automatically — scraping, crawling, or bulk requests of any kind;
- work around usage limits, anti-bot checks or the sign-in process, or try to;
- put load on the service beyond ordinary human use;
- resell, redistribute or republish the data you find here;
- probe, scan or test the security of the service or its infrastructure;
- pretend to be someone else, or use someone else’s account;
- use the AI chat to produce unlawful, harmful or deceptive material, or to work around a provider’s own rules;
- use Cursway for anything unlawful.
If you find a security problem, please report it rather than exploit it — write to support@cursway.com.
18. Changes
Cursway changes all the time. Features appear, change shape and are taken away; partners and data sources come and go. We do not promise that any particular feature will still be here tomorrow.
These terms change with it. The line under the title at the top of this page says where the current version stands. If you carry on using Cursway after a change, that is your acceptance of the new version; if you do not accept it, stop using the service and, if you have an account, delete it.
19. No warranties
Cursway is provided as it is and as it happens to be available. We do not promise that it will be up, that it will keep working, that it will be free of errors, or that anything it shows you is accurate, complete or current. Much of the data is not ours and we cannot vouch for it.
To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind beyond this. If you are a consumer, none of this takes away rights the law gives you that cannot be signed away.
20. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for:
- decisions you take on the strength of something Cursway showed you;
- what a seller, carrier or other third party does, fails to do, charges or refuses;
- a price, a time or an availability that turned out to be wrong, stale or missing;
- the service being unavailable, slow or interrupted;
- anything you lost because a conversation was not there.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and for fraud — and nothing here affects the mandatory rights of a consumer.
21. If you are a consumer in the EU
If you use Cursway as a consumer in the European Union, the mandatory consumer rules of the country where you live continue to apply to you, and nothing in these terms takes them away or replaces them.
You may bring proceedings against us in the courts of the country where you live.
You may also be able to settle a dispute out of court, through a body authorised for consumer dispute resolution in your country. The European Commission keeps a directory of those bodies at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu. That address is given for reference only; the route itself is the authorised body in your country, whether or not the directory stays where it is today.
22. Governing law
These terms are governed by Polish law.
This does not affect section 21: if you are a consumer in the EU, the mandatory rules of your own country still apply, and you keep the right to go to your own courts.
23. Privacy
What we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it and how to get it removed is set out in the Privacy Policy. It is part of using Cursway, and worth reading alongside this page.
24. Contact
For anything about the service — a question, a bug, a link that misbehaves, an idea — write to support@cursway.com or use the contact page.
For personal data and other legal matters, write to legal@cursway.com. Who the operator is — section 2 above.
